Makwaden v2

Makwaden v2 (MakV2) is a custom-built skoolie designed for off-grid living and optimal functionality, reflecting its roots as a modern mobile “bear den.” Originally purchased through a private wholesaler on Facebook, MakV2 underwent a 16” roof raise, making it stand tall at 13 feet. It boasts a robust setup, including 1,640 watts of solar power feeding into a 600Ah 24V LiFePO4 battery bank. Equipped for comfort and efficiency, the bus features a washer/dryer combo, a sink/dishwasher unit, and a heat pump A/C mini-split for year-round climate control. For heating, MakV2 is outfitted with diesel heaters and a wood stove, ensuring warmth in even the harshest conditions.

Beyond its creature comforts, MakV2 is tech-enabled with a Proxmox virtual host, HomeAssistant automation, Starlink internet, dual LTE modems, and WiFi, making it a highly connected remote work base. Additionally, the bus is equipped with UHF/VHF radio capabilities, providing reliable communication options when out in remote areas. This unique build is a true reflection of both sustainability and advanced technology, making it a perfect basecamp for modern nomadic living.
