In 2019, I took a leap of faith and purchased a school bus from an auction with the vision of transforming it into a tiny house on wheels. Since then, I’ve been living my dream—traveling across this magnificent country with my Irish Wolfhound, Maeve, embracing a minimalist, nomadic lifestyle. This journey has taught me the true value of simplicity, sustainability, and a deeper connection with Mother Earth.
As an Anishinaabe, which means “the good humans,” my cultural heritage has always been central to how I view the world. The teachings passed down from my elders have instilled in me a profound respect for the land and a passion for living in harmony with it. Along the way, I’ve found joy in educating others about the benefits of skoolie life and the positive impact it can have on the environment.
I’ve been an entrepreneur for most of my life, with a deep-rooted love for technology and helping others. I founded two main ventures that I now run remotely while exploring the world:
Arrowhead Incubator is a nonprofit I launched in 2019 to support indigenous companies. We provide assistance with funding and grants, project development, marketing, and public relations. Our goal is to uplift indigenous entrepreneurs and help their ideas thrive.
MakwaUSA is my tech and business consulting firm where we offer business development, project management, and market research services. We also help businesses tap into state, federal, and tribal contracting opportunities to help them reach their full potential.
This chapter of my life is about embracing the open road, swapping stories over campfires, and building connections with like-minded souls. Whether you’re interested in skoolie life, collaborating on a project, or learning more about the work I’m doing, I’d love to hear from you.
Let’s chase the horizon together and continue this adventure.
